Founder James Hamilton to Transition to Board Member
Scott most recently served as president and CEO of PointRight, where his visionary leadership grew the company’s enterprise value, resulting in a successful acquisition for all stakeholders by a strategic health care technology company.
VitalTech Board Chairman Bruce Lawrence said Steven’s track record resonated with the Board of Directors during its national search for a new leader.
“Steven’s 30-plus year career as an executive with health care technology and services companies includes an impressive history of developing and implementing strategies and solutions that led to significant increases in market share, sales and revenue,” Lawrence said. “We strongly believe he is the leader our company needs to build upon the strong foundation laid by current CEO James Hamilton and further our vision of empowering patients and allowing health systems, payers, clinicians and care givers to manage their care.”
Scott said, “I am excited to lead VitalTech into this next chapter and continue to transform virtual care in our industry. James Hamilton and the team at VitalTech have created an important technology resource for health systems, payers, clinicians, care givers and patients to leverage in improving value-based care initiatives. The company is very well positioned to rapidly expand its remote patient monitoring solution sets and create additional value through improved outcomes.”
Current CEO James Hamilton, one of the company’s founders, will transition to serving as an active and engaged Board member. Hamilton praised the choice of Scott as his successor.
“Steven’s extensive experience growing businesses in the health care technology industry is exactly what VitalTech needs to reach the next level,” he said. “I look forward to working with him as a board member to help increase our success and profitability.”
VitalTech develops technologies, platforms and hardware that empower patients to better care for their health and wellness while enabling clinicians and health systems to remotely monitor, manage and care for patients. VitalTech’s integrated digital health platform, VitalCare, aggregates and contextualizes critical data that is collected from multiple devices, EHRs, and 3rd party sources. Data is then pushed via the VitalCare cloud to user apps, family connection apps, care teams apps, administrative web portals, and third-party integrations in real-time, so actionable insights can be made.
