Summary of Job:
As the Vice President of Health Plan and Managed Care Sales, you will drive growth and profitability in the Health Plan and Managed Care markets. These segments represent key growth areas for VitalTech, and you will position our company and drive the message to enable our success. You will be the company evangelist, ensuring VitalTech is a thought leader in virtual care.


As the VP of Health Plan and Managed Care Sales, you will work closely with business partners to develop proposals that manage new prospects’ profit, revenue, and gross margin. Additionally, you will be expected to manage strategic work plan goals to include, but are not limited to, identifying and prospecting strategy in the health plan and public sector segments, winning new health plan and managed care clients, growing gross margin, assessing capabilities and partnerships required to succeed in the market.



Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage a direct sales initiative working primarily with health plan and managed care organizations to use VitalCare solutions.
  • With VitalTech’s Chief Sales Officer, you will develop strategies for health plan and managed care organizations’ client development through analysis and market knowledge.
  • Prospect and effectively present VitalCare solutions to targeted health plans and managed care organizations.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant business departments to guide bid strategy, price products/services, inform the development of new products/services, and effectively market the business. This position will include prospecting for new clients, consultative selling, presenting to influencers and key decision-makers, facilitating contracts and rates, building and maintaining payer relationships, and attending approved industry forums and conventions.



Qualifications and Experience (required/desired):

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of Experience selling to health plans and managed care organizations
  • Demonstrated Experience working with health plans and understanding the unique needs and stakeholders across a health plan environment.
  • A result-focused executor, who brings discipline, drive, and accountability to ensure delivery of plans for capturing market share.
  • An inspirational, compelling leader capable of communicating the vision to external and internal constituents; and commanding respect and enthusiasm.
  • Track record of prospecting and building a solid pipeline to ensure company and individual goals are met.
  • Experience with client negotiations required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to negotiate cross-functionally to drive client issues to resolution
  • Ability to manage work strategically and effectively while anticipating for client impact of internal and external influencers.
